The superb beaches of the Marbella Club and the Puente Romano are situated on the doorstep, and some of the area´s finest restaurants are within easy walking distance of the villa. Recommended restaurants include Roberto at the Puente Romano Hotel, which offers stunning views of the sea, and an excellent choice of Italian and Mediterranean cuisine. 

The Beach Club at the Marbella Club Hotel is the place to be seen on the Golden Mile, and this prestigious beach restaurant owes much of its fame to its sumptuous buffet, offering fresh lobster, seafood and exquisite meat and vegetable dishes, and which attracts many of Marbella´s most famous faces. Elegant and stylish the Beach Club allows guests to indulge themselves with a heated outdoor pool, and a luxurious and secluded garden setting overlooking the Mediterranean. 

If you enjoy eating al fresco and soaking up the rays in style, Victor´s Beach Bar is also worth a visit. Offering superb seafood and their world famous ribs, the long-establisehd Victor´s Beach is a king among beach bars. 

Eddy and Marisa´s beach club is also worth a try in the nearby Coral Beach complex. Situated next to the hotel of the same name, this vibrant beach club offers excellent fresh fish, salads, seafood and some of the best sangria in town. If you are looking for an excellent restaurant on the Golden Mile for dinner, try James Hewitt´s Polo House, which offers a wide choice of innovative cuisine in a relaxing atmosphere. The Polo House is undoubtedly one of the stars of the Golden Mile, and the service, food and ambiance is second to none. Villa Tiberio, also on the Golden Mile has been established in Marbella for over 18 years, and has enjoyed many famous visitors during that time. Offering excellent food in a luxurious setting, Villa Tiberio is owned by fabled restauranteur, Sandro Morelli (formerly of the Ritz and Cavendish hotels in London, and the former owner of Fulham´s famous Barbarella 1 and 11 restaurants). Italian and international dishes are offered on the menu, and Villa Tiberio also boasts an extensive wine list to complement the food. 

Malaga Airport is approximately 50km from Marbella, and the journey takes around 40 minutes by car. You can book an airport transfer before you travel or pick up a taxi outside the arrivals hall. Known as Golf Valley in nearby Nueva Andalucia, you can choose from five golf courses just 2km inland from Puerto Banus, including: Las Brisas, Los Naranjos, Aloha, La Dama de Noche (floodlit course) and La Quinta Golf Resort. 

If you want to shop visit the nearby La Cañada Shopping Centre near Marbella or take a trip to the designer boutiques in Puerto Banus Marina, Marina Banus Shopping Centre or El Corte Inglés at the back of Antonio Banderas Square. The Cristamar Centre also offers shoppers plenty of choice, or visit the Nueva Andalucia Market on Saturdays.
